PLAYING SAFE

Keeping safe

Many of our members have health issues which mean that they still have to be very wary of becoming infected or injured.

It is essential for their sake that we play Walking Football as it is meant to be: a non-contact sport.

Safety in sessions

Currently all but one of our sessions are played out of doors. This is the safest environment, plus oudoor playing surfaces tend to be kinder on our joints, particularly knees.

Sessions are only open to members of the club, other than newcomers who can have a try-out for a few weeks after which they must join up.

To avoid the need for shared  bibs we ask that all players should bring 2 different shirts - one dark and one light - or purchase a reversible bib.

People not feeling well are urged to stay away until they are better.
